(Spiritual but not Religious, SBNR)、「靈性而非歸屬」(Spiritual but not affiliated, SBNA)的當代趨勢。
(“… The actual oak tree is physically present but in the form of the glass of water, the oak tree is also particular. To conceive the category ‘oak tree’ or to picture a particular oak tree is not to understand and experience what appears to be a glass of water as an oak tree. Just as it is imperceivable, it is also inconceivable.”)

|Statement| The existence of beliefs solidifies the balance of people’s day-to-day lives. When translated into practical acts, beliefs are broken down into utterly different rituals. Beliefs can be large or small, theistic or atheistic (religious beliefs), trivial parts of everyday life that would make a person feel unpleasant if not completed (life rituals).
However, when we hold something like a guideline or a pursuit, from the inside out, the whole process of implementation is a manifestation of faith itself.Do our beliefs dictate the course of our lives, or do they help us complete the values of our own? Is there any room for individual subjectivity in beliefs, or are beliefs merely an extension of one’s will?
